Woman Accused Of Violating Protective Order In Fairfield County

A Fairfield County woman was arrested for violation of a protective order after being stopped for having an invalid license plate.

Nyisha Anderson, age 36, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Tuesday, June 22, by Darien Police after an officer on patrol spotted a grey sedan traveling on Post Road with a license plate that did not match the vehicle.

During the stop, Anderson said the vehicle belonged to a the front passenger’s seat of the vehicle. A routine check of Anderson’s information revealed an active protective order barring Anderson from being in contact with the passenger in any way, said Sgt. James Palmieri.

Anderson was taken into custody and transported to headquarters where she was charged with violation of a protective order.

She was released on a $2,500 bond.
